Fair Housing Workshop for Refugee and Immigrant Service Providers

9-11am Thursday, Oct. 25
Pickering Room, Fletcher Free Library, Burlington

This free workshop includes the basics of federal and Vermont fair housing law and how you can support your clients. We will cover protected classes, exemptions, reasonable accommodations, how to file a housing discrimination complaint, the investigation process, and remedies and penalties. The interactive session is designed for refugee and immigrant service providers and is open to everyone. There will be plenty of time for discussion and resources to share with your colleagues and clients. Presented by the CVOEO Fair Housing Project and Vermont Legal Aid’s Housing Discrimination Law Project in partnership with the Refugee & Immigrant Service Providers Network (RISPNet) and the Fletcher Free Library.
