The CVOEO Fair Housing Project is bringing our Thriving Communities Photo Booth to Open Streets in Burlington’s Old North End on Sunday, Sept. 30.
We are excited to join the event to share info about the Thriving Communities campaign and to ask YOU to share what makes your community thrive. Come visit the booth on North Street between North Union and School Street between 11am and 4pm, tell us what you think, and get your picture taken. *
During Open Streets, portions of North Street and North Winooski Avenue will be closed to car traffic and full of fun activities. Open Streets provides people with places to mingle, play, and shop, all while promoting healthy living and active transportation. The goals of Open Streets are to 1) Increase health and physical activity of Burlington-area residents; 2) activate and celebrate the streets, showcasing projects that support active transportation; 3) build community in the city’s vibrant neighborhoods; and 4) increase economic opportunities for local businesses.
